And the food tables were not too far. The food was plentiful and looked and tasted fresh.
Being busy nothing looked like it was sitting around too long. The salad was crisp and the clam chowder and she-crab soup were very good. The fried scallops and oysters could have been a little crispier but they were not overcooked and tasted fresh. The stuffed mushrooms were large and slightly sweet. Not sure if it was crab stuffing but was tasty. The main reason we were there was of course the crab legs and shrimp.
The shrimp were small but the crab legs were excellent and they were replenished often. The dessert tables were fairly typical with some cakes, puddings and a little fresh fruit. The servers returned frequently to clear used dishes and seafood shells. For the price I was a little surprised we were charged extra for iced tea, but all in all it was a good value and better than we expected.
I might go back one day. I used to look forward to the delicious, diverse, stellar, and freshly prepared seafood culinary delights present by them. Last time there found more soul food dishes.
I should have suspected something had changed when my cousin and I were able to just walk in and did not have to stand in any outside nor inside lines. The only fried fish was Pollack.
In fairness though, all dishes that I selected were averagely delicious. Every time I go here it is just for the crab legs I am always disappointed I guess the price is so high because those of us who eat normal amounts of food must pay for those who simply stuff themselves.
